MacGuffin After School Program
Fall, Winter, and Spring 2026-27 Sessions
Get into the act! With plenty of parts to go around, including featured roles as well as ensemble parts these productions are sure to get you into the act and having tons of fun. Make new friends. Strengthen your confidence and musical theatre presence. Learn to project your voice, take your dance moves to the next level, and interpret these fantastic musicals as only you can. For grades 2-6.
PHILADELPHIA Location:
Pick-up: MacGuffin teachers will pick up actors at Greenfield Elementary School at 3 PM and walk them 2 blocks to our theatre at the Adrienne (2030 Sansom Street, 2nd Floor). Parents can pick up their young actor at 5:30 PM at MacGuffin. They will meet you in the Adrienne Lobby.
Fall 2026
Session 1 - KPop Scenes and Songs
August 25- Oct 15, 2026 from 3-5:30pm

Are you ready to perform your favorite scenes and songs from the KPOP universe? Become your favorite characters and demons. Be Golden and drink your Soda Pop. Take your acting to the next level. Learn how to act, sing, and dance under the direction of MacGuffin's staff.

Anna, an optimistic princess who teams up with Kristoff, Sven, and Olaf to find her sister, Queen Elsa, whose uncontrolled ice powers have trapped Arendelle in an eternal winter. It focuses on themes of sisterhood, love, and self-acceptance. Frozen is a hit musical with book by Jennifer Lee and music & lyrics by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez.

Jump into the classic musicals of the Sherman Brothers. Perform their hit songs from Mary Poppins, Chitty, Chitty, Bang, Bang, The Jungle Book, Winnie the Pooh, Charlotte's Web, and more! Sing a solo and dance out in the group numbers. Take your acting to the next level in this supercallifragilistic musical revue.
Spring 2027
Session 4 - The Little Mermaid
March 16 - May 27, 2027 from 3-5:30pm (No after school program during Spring Break March 22-26, 2027)

Performances on on May 27 at 5:30pm and May 28, 2027 at 7pm at MacGuffin Theatre & Film Company
Based on the animated film, Disney's The Little Mermaid is a musical featuring music by Alan Menken, lyrics by Howard Ashman and Glenn Slater, and a book by Doug Wright. It follows mermaid Ariel, who trades her voice to the sea witch Ursula for legs to pursue Prince Eric, featuring songs like "Part of Your World" and "Under the Sea."

For the Fall Session 1 tuition can be fully refundable up until August 11. After that, 50% of tuition can be refundable up until 2 PM on August 25.
For the Fall Session 2 tuition can be fully refundable up until October 6. After that, 50% of tuition can be refundable up until 2 PM on October 20.
For the Winter Session tuition can be fully refundable up until December 23. After that, 50% of tuition can be refundable up until 2 PM on January 5.
For the Spring Session tuition can be fully refundable up until March 2. After that, 50% of tuition can be refundable up until 2 PM on March 16.

Disney's The Jungle Book KIDS is a 30-minute, high-energy musical designed for young performers, featuring beloved characters and songs from the classic Disney animated film. The show follows Mowgli, Bagheera, and Baloo on a thrilling, jazzy adventure through the jungle, outsmarting Shere Khan and King Louie while learning about friendship. Take your acting to the next level. Learn how to act, sing, and dance under the direction of MacGuffin's staff.

Performance on on June 4 at 6pm at St. Thomas Retreat Center
The story follows a young lion prince named Simba, who is exiled from his kingdom after his father Mufasa is murdered by his uncle Scar to seize the throne. As he grows up, Simba must decide whether to return home to confront Scar and reclaim his place as king. Featuring the classic Broadway songs, 'Circle of Life,' 'I Just Can't Wait to Be King,' 'Hakuna Matata,' and 'Can You Feel the Love Tonight.'
