MacGuffin was without a doubt a second home for me during my teen years! MacGuffin was a space where I was able to do what I loved most while growing into the person I am today. It also gave me one of the greatest communities I’ve ever been a part of.

Out of all of my incredible MacGuffin memories, open mic nights jump out to me as a favorite staple of my time there. From spending up to a month preparing my (oftentimes questionable) song choice, to cheering on friends and new faces during the performance, to catching up and debriefing with the MacGuffin community afterward, there was just something so uniquely exciting and communal and joyful about open mic nights!

Session 4 of MacGuffin’s After School Program will begin on Thursday, March 20th at 3pm.

MacGuffin After School Program:

With plenty of parts to go around, including featured roles as well as ensemble parts these productions are sure to get you into the act and having tons of fun. Strengthen your confidence and musical theatre presence. Learn to project your voice, take your dance moves to the next level, and interpret these fantastic musicals as only you can.

Pick-up: MacGuffin teachers will pick up actors at Greenfield Elementary School at 3 PM and walk them 2 blocks to our theatre at the Adrienne (2030 Sansom Street, 2^nd Floor). Parents can pick up their young actor at 5 PM at MacGuffin. They will meet you in the Adrienne Lobby.

I speak for the trees. Dr. Seuss’s beloved story teaches kids to treat the planet with kindness and stand up and speak up for others. Experience the beauty of the Truffula Trees and the danger of taking our earth for granted in a story that is timely, playful, and hopeful.
