Ready to take your acting, singing, dancing and comedy skills to the next level? Audition for our house troupes: The Singin’ Bohemians Cabaret Troupe, The Mechanicals Acting Troupe, or This Side Up Comedy Improv Troupe. Check out the schedule below and see what’s right for you.

All of our troupes are both elite training programs and performance troupes. In addition to rehearsing and performing in and outside of our community, troupe members function as ambassadors for MacGuffin and leaders within our program. There is a tuition for the troupes.

The Singin’ Bohemians Cabaret Troupe

Auditions: Tuesday, September 9 from 6-7:30 PM

2030 Sansom Street, 2nd Floor (purple door)

Performers between the ages of 12 and 18 should prepare a Broadway song that shows off their range and talents. Please bring sheet music. There will also be a dance audition led by choreographer, Liz Fredette. Our rehearsals are on Saturdays from 2:30-4:30pm

The Mechanicals Acting Troupe

Directed by Liz Fredette

Auditions: Tuesday, September 9 from 7-8:30 pm

2030 Sansom Street, 2nd Floor (purple door)

For actors ages 12 – 18. Please prepare a 1-2 minute monologue. Our rehearsals are on Saturdays

from 12:30-2:30pm.

This Side Up Comedy Improv Troupe

Directed by Jen Jaynes

Auditions: Wednesday, September 10 from 6-8 PM

2030 Sansom Street, Mainstage (1st floor)

Actors between the ages of 12 and 18 will perform comedy improvisations with the current members of This Side Up. We recommend watching the tv show ‘Whose Line is it Anyway’ to get the feel for the kind of improvisations you’ll perform. Our rehearsals are on Saturdays from 3-4:30pm.
