Musical Theatre Dance
Date and Time: Saturdays, January 18 – March 8, 9-10 AM
Instructor: Caleb Tracy
Tuition: $245
Build your repertoire of musical theatre dance moves! Get the training you need as you work to become a triple threat actor/singer/dancer. Choreographer, Caleb Tracy, will lead you through how to put together a combination, how to present yourself, and teach you new moves that they're doing on today's Broadway stages.
Musical Theatre Vocals
Time: Saturdays, January 18 – March 8, 10-11 AM
Instructor: John Rea
Tuition: $245
Learn to build your voice for the Broadway stage. Sing contemporary Broadway songs while learning how to breathe and support your sound. Project your voice to the back row. Artistic Director, John Rea, will show you how to follow sheet music, memorize lyrics and bring character to the music. This is a great class to take with Musical Theatre Dance. Do a double header for twice the fun!
Radio Play Production
Time: Saturdays, January 18 – March 8, 11 AM – 12:30 PM
Instructor: Dan Wisniewski
Tuition: $295
Under the direction of professional actor and MacGuffin alum, Dan Wisniwski learn the art of acting for the ear. Develop new vocal techniques to intrigue and entertain your audiences. Learn to break down language and put character into your voice. The class will work on a contemporary radio play where all actors will play multiple roles. There will be a live performance on Saturday, March 8 at 7:30 PM.
Comedy Improv
Time: Saturdays, January 18 – March 8, 1-2 PM AND 2-3 PM
Instructor: Jen Jaynes

Making people laugh is one of the great joys in life. Get your funny on while you learn to create comedy on the spot, using simple suggestions and your own top-of-your-head responses. Comedy and the ability to bring humor to a situation serves you in every aspect of your life. We have a long tradition of creating comedy improv at MacGuffin, with our expert comedians performing in This Side Up Comedy Improv Troupe. This class is a perfect first step in learning how to work with partners, make up wacky jokes and characters, and test your limits…all while having a great time! If you like the tv show Whose Line is it Anyway, you can’t miss this class!
Musical Theatre Acting
Time: January 16- March 6, Thursdays 5:30p-6:30p
Middlers Only Ages: 11-14

If musical theatre is your passion or if you just want to see if you might like it - this is the class for you! Associate Artistic Director, Jen Jaynes, will guide you through acting techniques that will get you to the heart of your character. Discover how to break down dialogue, move with purpose, build a character, and use props in scenes naturally! Practice building your memory skills, projecting your voice, and enunciating clearly. This class is a great way to get an edge for your school musical production.
Comedy Improv

Tuition can be fully refundable up until January 3. After that, 50% of tuition can be refundable up until 9:30am, January 18.
