Middler & Teen Classes (ages 11-18)

Scene Study: Drama Through the Ages
Time: 10-11 AM
Instructor: Emma Ditnes

The tradition of storytelling dates back hundreds of years. Here in 2022, we are still just as passionate as ever about telling tales, and there is one thing that every good story needs: drama. The hero needs a dragon to slay, the lovers need feuding parents to defy, the artists need a friend-turned-annoying-landlord to demand they pay up on the first of the month, etc., etc., etc. From the Greek Tragedies of yesteryear to today’s most thrilling plays, we will explore drama through the ages. Build your skills as a performer, a script analyzer, and theatre artist as you break down and dig deep into some of the most exciting moments in the theatre’s history!
