NEW! Musical Theatre Drop-In Class
Time: 12-1 PM
Instructors: John Rea & Rebekah Rickards
Tuition: $35 per class

Work on becoming a triple threat! Develop your acting, singing and dancing. Each week will feature a hit Broadway song to explore. All classes are self contained and will feature voice work, new dance moves and character interpretation. Sign up for one or all of them! Teachers will email you the song you'll be working on in advance.

NEW! Acting Drop-In Class
Time: 12-1 PM

Tuition: $35 per class

Take your acting to the next level. Get to the heart of your character. Discover how to break down dialogue, move with purpose, and create a character. Practice building your memory skills, projecting your voice, and enunciating clearly. We'll be employing scenes from contemporary movies and plays. Each class will be self contained. Sign up for one or all of them! Liz will email you the text you'll be working on in advance.

Time: Wednesdays from 4:30-5:30 PM, September 16 - November 4

Ready to get your feet groovin' to the beat? Learn how to take your dancing to the next level. Work on your time step, shuffle step, cramp roll, Buffalo, Maxi Ford, Shirley Temple and more. All students will be required to wear tap shoes for the class.

Comedy Improv
Time: 1-2 PM AND 2-3 PM

Ready to bring out your comic side? Get your funny on while you learn to create comedy on the spot, using simple suggestions and your own top-of-your-head responses. Comedy and the ability to bring humor to a situation serves you in every aspect of your life. We have a long tradition of creating comedy improv at MacGuffin, with our expert comedians performing in This Side Up Comedy Improv Troupe. This class is a perfect first step in learning how to work with partners, make up wacky jokes and characters, and test your limits…all while having a great time! If you like the tv show Whose Line is it Anyway, then this class is right up your alley!

Production Class featuring Disney's Descendants
Time: Thursdays 5:30-6:30 PM

Get Chillin' Like a Villain! Ready to stretch yourself as an actor? Director, Jen Jaynes, will lead you through an exploration of Disney's hit movie musical, Descendants. We'll take you step by step and help you build your confidence and take acting chances that will delight your audience. This class is essential for actors who would like to audition for their school shows. There will be a showcase on Thursday November 5 at 6pm.
