Musical Theatre Jazz Dance
Time: 9-10 AM

Build your repertoire of musical theatre dance moves! Get the training you need as you work to become a triple threat actor/singer/dancer. Our choreographer will lead you through how to put together a combination, how to present yourself, and teach you new moves that they're doing on today's Broadway stages.

Creating Characters
Time: 10-11 AM

Take your acting to the next level. Get to the heart of your character. Discover how to break down dialogue, move with purpose, and create a character. Practice building your memory skills, projecting your voice, and enunciating clearly. We'll be employing scenes from contemporary movies and plays.  This class is recommended for actors who would like to audition for our Fall production of More Than Anything.

Production Class featuring Disney's Hercules 
Time: 11 AM - 12:30 PM
Instructor: John Rea & Adrienne Maitland-Laguda
Tuition: $295

Ready to stretch yourself as an actor? Director, John Rea, will lead you through an exploration of Disney's hit movie musical, Hercules. We'll take you step by step and help you build your confidence and take acting chances that will delight your audience. There will be a showcase on Saturday, November 1 at 7 PM.

Comedy Improv
Time: 1-2 PM AND 2-3 PM

Ready to bring out your comic side? Get your funny on while you learn to create comedy on the spot, using simple suggestions and your own top-of-your-head responses. Comedy and the ability to bring humor to a situation serves you in every aspect of your life. We have a long tradition of creating comedy improv at MacGuffin, with our expert comedians performing in This Side Up Comedy Improv Troupe. This class is a perfect first step in learning how to work with partners, make up wacky jokes and characters, and test your limits…all while having a great time! If you like the tv show Whose Line is it Anyway, then this class is right up your alley!
