Build your musical theatre skills in acting, singing, and dancing.
This short musical by John Rea based on Maurice Sendak’s award winning book is about Max who is sent to bed without supper for being a “wild thing”. In his room, he imagines sailing to an island inhabited by monsters called the Wild Things, who make him their king after he tames them.
Performance: Friday, July 24 at 5 pm
Week 2 will feature the musical, Shrek Jr. August 17-21
Beauty is in the eye of the ogre in Shrek, based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks Animation film and fantastic Broadway musical. It’s a “big bright beautiful world” as everyone’s favorite ogre, Shrek, leads a cast of fairytale misfits on an adventure to rescue a princess and find true acceptance. Part romance and part twisted fairy tale, this musical is an irreverently fun ride with a powerful message for the whole family.
